Third year in the Wildcats’ program…Appeared in all 30 Chico State games in 2019–20…Ranked fourth on the team in assists (50)…Scored season-high 10 points November 23, 2019 vs. Cal State East Bay…Four-time CCAA All-Academic selection…Has earned two Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Awards…2019–20 National Basketball Coaches Association Honors Court recipient…Pre-Chico Days: Played the 2018–19 season at Citrus College in Glendora, earning All-Conference honors and helping lead the Owls to the Western State Conference East championship and the state championship Final Four…A 2017 graduate of De La Salle High School in Concord…Led Spartans to two North Coast Section titles, and the 2016 East Bay League and Northern California championships…Received First Team All-League, All-North Coast Section, All-Bay Area, and team MVP recognition as a senior…Personal: Born June 3, 1999, in Walnut Creek…Son of Bill and Janine…Has two younger siblings, McKenzie and Brady…His dad is his hero (“for his work ethic and who he is as a person”)…The person he most admires in the sports world is NBA Hall of Famer and Brooklyn Nets head coach Steve Nash (“because of what he was able to accomplish at his size”)…Favorite course at Chico State is Management, taught by Angela Casler…Why he chose to attend Chico State: “The family atmosphere of the basketball program and the town”…His greatest sports moment was winning a high school section championship with his best friends growing up…The most interesting thing he’s ever done is travel to the Bahamas…The most impressive thing he’s ever accomplished is running a marathon…Has learned by playing basketball that “if it was easy, everyone would do it”…Enjoys reading and playing video games when he has some free time…Learned how to invest and read over 25 books (“beating out Coach Clink and Coach Ricky”) during his pandemic-caused time away from the court…Says that cooking is his biggest non-basketball talent…At the top of his bucket list: “Travel to Europe”…Majoring in business finance…Plans to attend graduate school or get a job in international business/finance.
