Pre-Chico Highlights:
A 2020 graduate of El Camino High School in Oceanside…Helped lead the Wildcats to the 2019 Avocado East League title…Named First Team All-AEL and Second Team CIF San Diego Section as a junior…Team MVP in 2018 and 2019…Two-time All-Academic Team selection…Earned Scholar Athlete honors four consecutive years.
 
Personal:
Born May 18, 2002, in San Luis Obispo…Son of Rey and Julie…Has two younger siblings, Ralienne and Jonah…The person he most admires in the sports world is PGA and European Tour player Xander Schauffele (“not only because he is a local favorite in the San Diego area, but for the grit and perseverance he shows day in and day out”)…Favorite course at Chico State is Math Elementary Differential Equations, taught by Dr. Vladimir Rosenhaus …Chose to attend Chico State “because of the engineering program and the opportunity to play on the golf team instructed under a supportive and ambitious coach. But nothing struck my eye better than the campus at Chico State”…His greatest sports moment was playing a match in Scotland and beating one of the Scotland members by 10 with 8 holes left to play…The most interesting thing he’s ever done was spending three weeks in the summer as a foreign exchange student in Germany…The most impressive thing he’s ever accomplished is making a hole in one in a 36-hole tournament in the La Costa Omni Resort…Has learned by playing golf that “being mentally tough can be used on and off the golf course. Through my classes, practicing my instruments, or even when discouraging comments come my way. Being mentally strong has built the foundation of the person I am today”…Enjoys enjoy playing piano and “letting my stress and emotions leave the body” when he has some free time…Can play the piano, guitar, ukulele, and alto saxophone…At the top of his bucket list: “Ride a horse and go to a rodeo”…Best advice ever received came from his dad: “Find out who you are, establish your goals, know your priorities. Then from there push on, being selfish on your priorities and goals, but selfless on to those who have helped you and supported you along the way”…Majoring in civil engineering.
