Biography

Transfer from the University of Hawaii-Hilo…Pre-Chico Days: Spent two seasons in the  Vulcans’ program…Made five starts pitching for Cabrillo College in Aptos in 2018…Appeared in two games in 2017 for Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona…Began his college career in 2016 at Division I Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, North Carolina…A 2015 graduate of American Heritage Boca Delray High School in Delray Beach, Florida…Starter in all four of his varsity seasons…Help lead the Stallions to District and Regional championships in 2015…All-District selection as a senior…Included as Honorable Mention on 2015 Perfect Game Preseason All-American and All-Region Teams…Perfect Game Preseason Underclassmen All-American Honorable Mention in 2014…Personal: Born August 16, 1996, in West Palm Beach, Florida…Son of Paul and Barbara…His parents are his heroes (“My mom just fought a courageous fight against cancer. My parents have always looked out for me and have my back”)…The person he most admires in the sports world is Tom Brady (“because of his strong work ethic; he is a great teammate, and always strives for greatness”)…Why he chose to attend Chico State: “The great baseball program and great academics”…His greatest sports moment is playing in the 2015 District championship at American Heritage with high school teammate Jonathan India (the 2021 National League Rookie of the Year) and delivering the game-winning RBI “after being told all year I was a pitcher only”…The most interesting thing he’s ever done is travel twice to Japan…The most impressive things he’s ever accomplished: earning his bachelor’s degree in communications, winning All-District honors in 2015, and receiving Perfect Game Preseason All-American Honorable Mention in 2014 and 2015…Has learned by playing baseball that “good things happen to those who don’t give up”…Enjoys surfing, eating good food, and enjoying sports with friends…Can play the drums…His biggest talents outside of baseball: surfing and people skills…Learned how to surf in Hawaii, and now lives there…At the top of his bucket list: Playing in the major leagues, and traveling to Europe…Best advice ever received came from his dad: “First pitch strikes”…Currently working towards a master’s degree in communications…Plans to play professional baseball or pursue a career involving sports.
