Two years after completing his collegiate soccer career at Chico State University and entering the real world, Adam Raish intends to change the real world.  With the help of his business partner, Nikolai Walker, Raish plans to change how social media marketing works in a way that allows for both businesses and consumers to benefit from their interactions.

The business, Q-Counts, launched on Jan. 9, is moving full speed ahead with an early focus in the Chico area. Q-Counts in an innovative QR code marketing system, with a free mobile scanner application (app) and QR code generating website. The Q-Counts system pushes the capability of QR codes to the next level, automating and expediting social network connections, and motivating such interactions, all within a single scan of a Q-Code.

To access the scanner, simply type “Q-Counts scanner” into the Apple App Store or Droid Market. Or, simply scan the above Q-Code to see how it works.  You will “like” Chico State Athletics on Facebook, and simultaneously be sent some information regarding Q-Counts.

The 2009-10 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year and 2008-09 Dr. Hal Charnofsky Award for excellence in the classroom, community and on the pitch, Raish was a four-year starter and three-time team captain for the Wildcats. He helped lead the Wildcats to the 2008 CCAA North Division title – one of two seasons in which he anchored a defense that allowed less than a goal per match. A four-time All-CCAA Academic Award winner, Raish was an active participant in Chico State’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Now Raish is hoping to continue his history of excellence in Chico with the launch of Q-Counts.
