CLEVELAND – Chico State Athletics received one final round of academic accolades for the 2010-11 school year with the announcement that the Wildcats were among 98 institutions honored by the Division II Athletics Directors Association (DII ADA) as recipients of the DII ADA Academic Achievement Awards. Chico State athletes accounted for 26 of the 3,676 awards handed out nationwide in the program designed to recognize the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level.
To receive an Academic Achievement Award, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher; have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work; and have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year.
