CHICO – The third annual Chico State Baseball Golf Tournament, benefiting the Wildcat baseball program, is scheduled for Saturday, July 17. The tournament, which has grown in popularity in each of is first two years, will again take place on the North Course of the legendary La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad.
The cost to play is $200 per person or $750 for a group of four. Golfers interested in signing up are encouraged to contact Chico State assistant baseball coach Mike Hartman at (530) 898-6145 or via e-mail at mhartman@csuchico.edu.
The format for the golf tournament is a four-person team scramble, perfect for novice and avid golfers alike. Greens fees, golf cart, practice balls, dinner, and an awards banquet are all included in the registration fee. Last year’s event, hosted by former Wildcat player Scott Dalecio (Chico State, 1986), raised approximately $15,000 for the program.
