Finished 48th overall in his first race in a Chico State uniform while competing at the Ash Creek Invitational…Placed 18th out of 97 runners in the Garin Park XC Challenge… Took 33rd overall with a time of 25:44 at the San Francisco State Invitational…Concluded the XC season with a 25:06 8k PR at the Doc Adams Invitational, finishing sixth overall…Unfortunately the track season was marred by a stubborn case of IT Band Syndrome which limited his training and pushed his racing until late in the spring…Opened the 2016 campaign with a rust-buster 9:50 steeplechase at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational in Berkeley…Wrapped up his abbreviated track season with a 9:31 second attempt at the barrier event at the West Coast Last Chance Invitational.
 
Pre-Chico Days
At American River College, finished 22nd to help the Beavers win the 2013 CCCAA State Cross Country Championship…On the track, specialized in the 3000-meter steeplechase…Recorded a 9:11 PR en route to placing second at the 2014 CCCAA State Championships…Established himself as one of the premier prep distance talents in the state as a senior at El Camino High School in Sacramento…Notched a 14:51 personal record (PR) on the Mt. SAC course and raced to a 15:22 time at the State Championships…Concluded his senior season at the Foot Locker Championships…Posted a 8:59 PR on the track for the 3200 meters at the California State Championships.
